We use Dominos, various card games, Undersea ABC (from Sam's). My boys seem to learn more from a game than a workbook. ;-)
Yahtze, Monopoly, Life, Trouble, Sorry,etc
any and all from www.gamewright.com
Every game I've bought from there just ROCKS.
Tangrams and Mancala are 2 of our favorites.
For websites my sons love brainpop jr, star fall, spelling city, and jumpstart.
We use trips to the grocery store, and cooking to teach math, measurement., and reading. But to teach basic reading and phonics, I use Ring Around the Phonics. We also use walks to teach sequencing.
We are using twister to learn Chemistry. I labeled the colors a certain symbol. For example I tell them right hand on mercury and they have to find the right symbol. We are learning 50 elements this year this way. So far they seem to really enjoy it.
i use the game called concentration for all the learning subjects, i just make the cards up for whatever we are learning.
We play all kinds of games all the time! One of our favorites is a domino game calle Mexican Train. We also play Scrabble, Yahtzee, Clue, Sorry, Monopoly, and many others. This is a new one we just played at my folks' house! It was soooo fun!
I think almost all games can be used to learn even if it is to just learn to play a game for fun rather then to win.
