Paint for the regular one, construction paper cutouts for the toilet paper roll turkey. :)

Quoting Cafe Kelly:

When you make the turkeys do you use paint or trace their hand and foot onto paper?

Quoting Boobah:

We do the traditional turkey every year. Body is made from their foot, feathers are their hands. It's a fun way to see how much they grow each year.

Toilet paper rolls for bodies with handprints cut from const paper is fun too.

We like to make food art too. Pilgrim hats made from round cookies and a marshmallow dipped in chocolate with icing details. Rice krispie cornucopias with candy corn and such inside.

We are doing a turkey body from just a cirlce of brown construction paper and a head. Then different color tail feathers with things they are thankful for on them. We will do handprint turkey to hand in window. OH and maybe a cornacopia.

We are making a "Thankful Turkey" using construction paper, while also learning shapes. Circle for the body and head, Oval for the feathers, Triangle for the beak and feet, Rectangle for the neck and a free form gobble gobble.
