Eh, we're just starting the Renaissance and Reformation, so though we will read the story of the first Thanksgiving, we're not focusing on it this year.

we dont do anything special, the kids have been through thanksgiving stuff for years, so we just go on with our usual learning, but i do have them look up recipes, crafts to make for the table, decorations, for the thanksgiving day,

We are using Classical Conversations. We are studying the history of the United States and for science we are learning about the human body.

Since its only 1st grade Im going super simple. I think I am going to just talk about decor since she doesnt care about history or people study yet. I was going to tell what a cornacopia is, gourds, and pumpkin stuff. Oh and a few little worksheets like word hunts and stuff to build vocab.
