when we first started i had all the kids doing arts and crafts(ages- 4, 3,2,baby) and the oldest started picking up on math at 4, counting those paint brushes!!

little did i know it, but about a year later my 3rd dd, picked up reading on her own, she surprized us one day!hahahah

so we didnt do early k on purpose at any time,

My oldest (now 6 and legally in K) was ready when he was 4. We are doing mostly 1st grade stuff this year but I have intentionally taken things slowly. Next year we'll start to get a little more formal in our schooling so we'll see if he runs ahead or just paces himself.

My dd did K work at 4/5 and we took it slow. She started first at 6. I think my son will be doing K 3/4 and we will slowly do first 5/6 and so on. That is a few years away, he is only 16 months, but loves, loves books and colors and words, his sis not so much at this age.
