Hi, I'm considering homeschooling but just trying to get my hubby on board.  my son was born at 30 weeks, hes now 6yrs old  and in public school. There are doing an IEP evaluation for him due to him struggling. My question is after they do the IEP etc can I still home school? Are there programs out there that will help me teach him in a way he can understand? I'm trying to educate myself as much as I can to make sure I'm confident and that this will be the best thing for him. any advice is greatly appreciated.

Much depends on your State Laws.  Here is a link that will answer many of your Questions, and then some:  :-)

How To Home School

Mothers have a natural instinct when it comes to their own children that no one else has.  Trust your instincts.

The IEP is for them to use. You should be able to homeschool him regardless of that but knowing the law will help you learn that.

As far as what to use there are so many different options out there you really need to know his learning style & your teaching style to really help you pick one or piece one together yourself.
