Why do you do when your child is sick? Teach anyway?

My DS is 3. He has a really bad chest infection. He's been sick nearly 2 weeks now. On antibiotics and everything. He can't breathe, he wants to play but can't really, he is bored out of his mind!

But he can't concentrate on school work. We haven't gone anywhere in 3 weeks (I was sick the week before he got sick).

Do you still try to teach? If he were in Public or preschool he wouldn't be going he's that sick.

What do you do?

We play cards, board games, puzzles, and lots of I-Spy kinds of books!

I don't school them when they are sick. It's no use because they are so miserable I don't get anything out of them anyway, so we just frustrate each other. And they are 16,14 and almost 5! Especially the young one, she does not need to be pushed that hard anyway. But I do suggest have him checked out, if it's going for two weeks, poor guy must be really sick. You can always catch up again when he's feeling better.
