Spiral (we use Saxon and Abeka, with supplemental materials).  Although, if I see that mastery is not being achieved at a reasonable rate, we stop and work on that subject....

I have no idea. Lol. We use Saxon. It did bore us to tears, but I have learned to cut all the beginning stuff out and just do the actual lesson. It was taking us over an hour per lesson, plus prep, and we were both dreading it. It's better this way for us, but I still dread it. Haha! There is just SO much I have to gather before each lesson. It's a bit ridiculous I think.

Ditto...I. can not praise MUS enough. It gives the kids afabulous foundation! My 3rd grader is so much faster than her PS friends at math its amazing!

Contrary to popular belief, mastery includes lots of review to maintain learned skills. Its not just learn and move on and don't look back.

It just doesn't spiral in nibbles of lots of thing and then go back and add to then it covers one thing fully before moving on.

I am not sure...we are using "Singapore Math".

The books are color coded by level. (blue for 2A and 2B, pink for 3A and 3B).

The title says, "Primary Mathematics" on the front.   We like these books because the text books are colorful, they break down the concepts, and they offer the workbook and extra practice books.
