I took my son out of school today. I will start homeschooling. I'm excited. My question to you'll is how to schedule his work load. help!

He is 8. I do know the laws. Read up on them before I took him out. I'm going to use lifepac.

It depends on his age and how he functions with different type of instruction.

 so with lifepacs you have a workbook for every subject, so you could schedule him like this(just an example)

mondays- do math lesson, language arts lesson, history,history lesson  reading/phonics lesson

tuesdays- do a math lesson, lang arts , reading/phonics, lesson

wednesdays- math lesson, lang. arts lesson, science, reading/phonics lesson,

thurday- math lesson, lang. arts lesson, reading phonics lesson

friday- arts and crafts, field trip, reading

be sure to read to him every day! or if he can read take turns with him

you can start doing work and see how much time it takes him to do each lesson in each subject and then  go from there

Congrats and good luck!  I plan on doing science 5 days a week, Arabic 3 days a week, Islamic Studies probably 3 days a week, Math 5 days a week, and Phonics 5 days a week.

Congrats! It's an exciting journey :) are you starting right away, or would it be the next grade level? I'm not sure how to start mid year on a boxed curric.
