I looked at HOD extensively, but could never figure out a way to make it work for us.

It is a full curriculum that claims to be Charlotte Mason in style. It is very very Christian, which was probably the major turn off for me. You can see it at www.heartofdakota.com

I use it and can't possibly say enough good things about it. I have 4 kids, and with this program I am easily teaching all of them with only 2 programs. My kids also love it. We did a mix of Abeka, Bob Jones, and Purposeful Design last year, and we will never go back!  If you have specific questions, I'd be happy to help! :)
