Did you name your homeschool?

Are there any benefits to naming your homeschool? I think I read somewhere that you can get educational discounts at places like B&N, but I'm not sure how old the article was and if that's the case anymore.

We did, & yes you can sign up for discounts at some bookstores. We have made homeschool ID cards & used them to get discounts at museums & other places that offer homeschool discounts.

We did but weren't creative at all. lol We had to  name our school when we sent the letter to the school board saying we were homeschooling. We just used our last name though, nothing creative.

We use "Adventure Academy" when we make school reservations or get discounts.

We have a homeschool group that is allScout families. One of them came up with "Covah Academy" for group outings. It is havoc spelled backwards...

Ours is Seeking Squirrels.

I haven't yet tried to get hs discounts anywhere, but I know you can.

Okay, how would you go about doing this anyway?  :) We haven't done this and I am curious  about it.  :)

we named ours and received a card from the state with our school name on it so that we can receive discounts when available. But I've never had to show it to anyone, usually they just ask and I tell them then they give us whatever applies.
