Preschool Bug Unit

Has anyone made their own preschool bug unit curriculum or found a good one online they want to share?

My 3 year old is super afraid of bugs and I have no idea why. She literally runs to me and grabs onto my legs and says "The bugs scare me." No matter how many times I tell her that the bugs are okay and they live outside and are playing outside or whatever else, it doesn't work.  this is from a girl who never gets scared, lol. I was thinking of doing a bug unit for a week or longer and see if it would help her become more comfortable with bugs, lol.

My kids have gone through this stage.  What we have done is get a bug and hold it in our hands and then have the one who is having  the problem try and hold the bug too. It usually takes a few weeks but in the end, they are not as afraid of the bugs as before.  It just takes time.  And of course we have lots of time as they are still so young.   :)

I like the calendar idea from ordeb.

My three yo runs to get the tissue, especially for spiders.  No fear.  Wish I could help.
