Some background, I am a graduate student online (great for busy people and I love the experience), any how my financial aide advisor called me today to tell me that I would not be able to finish my specialization because I am out of funding. Well the money that I would receive after my courses were paid, we used to pay the interest on my loans andfor my youngest to attend a small private school that was a homeschool co-op. She is going to be a Junior in high school, and really wants to finish there.
So it looks like I will have to break her heart and tell her that we aren't able to send her back. She will ofcourse get over the disappointment and think of all the positives, like working and taking classes at the community college(maybe).
I am more bummed because it was a specialization I needed to get my teaching certificate, but oh well there are reasons things happen.... one door closes another one opens.

Oh sweetpea. That is a bummer. But as you said, one door closes and another one opens. That is how my life works on a constant basis.
I am not a religious fanatic but this was told to me one time many years ago when I was going through some rather dis-heartening times in my young adult life.
Here is something that might help you feel better....
"....God never puts on us any more than we can bear, so if you think/feel like you are having it extremely tough and rough, then remember this, God must think you are a very strong individual, otherwise He wouldn't have allowed you to go through anything this tough if He didn't think you would make it through to the other side".
This little saying has helped me through some very tough times throughout my whole life. Even now it helps.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. For both you and your daughter. :) *** HUGS ***
Thank you, I know this saying very well, and it does help to remember it at times. I just told my daughter and she was fine with it, would I am so proud of the ways my daughters handle let downs. So now the wonderful planning for the new school year! I am actually excited about this turn of events.

:) You are so welcome. Our kids are so capable of handling things so much better than we do at times. :) There is always a silver lining if we but take the time to look for it. :)

I told her that she won't be able to return to the highschool, and she said "I told you, I am open to anything."So now the search for curriculum(secular), (The highschool was Christian, and bless her heart she isn't Christian, but kept an open mind and maintained an "A" in the class.) which is her only request.

Sounds like you are doing a great job as a mom. Kudos mamma. :)) What exactly will you be hunting up, if you don't mind my asking?

Give me twenty four hours, I have to really give it some thought, and go through what I might have packed away...I know need to look at my state standards, living in Illinois is a plus because it is an easy state to homeschool. Also with her turning 18 in August makes it easier too, when I see her report card(she had to finish some Pre-Alegbra before her teacher would finish her report card), and see how many credits she will need.
