Have you successfully done one?

How large was it? What eras or all of them?

Did you hang it up or keep it in a binder?

We have successfully done 2.  We did one with DS's life that we put on the wall.  It had lots of his milestones on it and pictures.

The other we kept in a binder.  We used an old photo album and drew pictures and wrote little bits about the Greek empire.  It really helped when we talked about the wars and the Golden Era so he could keep track of which war was which.  In the picture pockets on the left, we put the stories the Greeks told about how the gods started the wars and on the right was the true stuff.

We have a timeline binder. Whenever we learn some history, we put it in the binder. So each era has several pages with a little synopses of what they learned.
