Block scheduling

Does anyone do block scheduling?  I've never tried it but decided these past couple weeks to try a few days a week just to keep my son's knowledge fresh before he goes to the private school for 2nd grade.  I LOVE it and the kids do too.  I so wish I didn't have to do my clinicals this year and could be home with him!!!!  :(
