Where would you go for a school field trip tour?  Would you stay here in the U.S. or would you go tour other countries? Or maybe even just one country?  Where would you like to go?

I would like to be able to go wherever we are studying. That would be awesome.

I'm into genealogy, so we would go places where our ancestors came from. We would probably do it backwards. Start here in Oregon, then follow the Oregon Trail back east. Go south and see the places in Texas, Oklahoma and Tennessee my family lived in. Eventually we would go to Ireland, Scotland, England, Germany and Italy. After we did all of that we would go to the places we would study in a world history class. If DS was still young enough for homeschooling, we would check out China and Japan, because their culture is so different than ours, and I'd like him to experience things like that.

Time travel would be fun too. Let's go see the pyramids being built, or the Great Wall of China. Or what about watching the signing of the Declaration of Independence?! Too bad we can't do that. [sigh]

My oldest did an historical tourof the east coast with Boy Scouts. I can't list all the places....
Boston, Arlington, ellis island, New York and several sites there, Smithsonian, Gettysburgh...you get the idea...

I'm so jealous...I would love to go and have him be my tour guide.

I would LOVE to go over to England for a wonderful history lesson, but I'm terrified of flying.

Here in the states, I'd like to go west and see the Grand Caynon with the kids. Or go East and visit Boston and all it's history.
