Ever had legal issues with homeschooling?

I am reading the home school network page for all the rules & regulations I must follow such as record keeping. Has anybody ever had issues with somebody coming to check up on them?

I'm guessing his old public school won't notice I am straight homeschooling since he was removed and put into K12 initially.

So, you keep the records and such and filed as a private school? That's what I plan to do.

In Ohio, I send in a curriculum plan, and an assessment or assessment test done by a professional for the last year. That's all I have to do. 8)

Oh, so CA is different then. I don't believe there is any testing done for homeschoolers here.

Never had a problem, however I live in Wisconsin, the land of beer, cheese, and homeschool  feedom!  It really depends on your state laws.  If memory serves me CA is a very reasonable state.

Cheese is good =)

And, yeah, CA seems pretty reasonable. I just worry about everything...

We are in Texas and I don't have to report anything to anyone.

I don't know that I have to report so much as keep records just in case.

I just pulled my son out of school one day and told them he would be doing his school at home and that was it.
