Hi ladies, Have any of you heard of dual enrollment for elementary school? The Division of Blind in my county won't offer my daughter Orientation & Mobility unless I put her in public school part time. Just curious if any one has heard of this and know how it works.

I would get some kind of homeschooling legal aid , because I don't think they can refuse you services because you homeschooling.

It just feels like they are forcing her into public school if we want any assistance. Even though I shocked them because I learned braille just to be able to teach her. There is no reason for public school.

There's absolutely nothing I'd want badly enough from the public school system to get involved with them in any way, shape, or form. I value my independence dearly, and resent that I have to submit anything to them at all.
