Books-Kinda OT

I am looking for Christmas presents for the kids and want to get them each a box full of books.  I am looking for suggestions for my DS.  He is 4.5 and is beginning to read.  He has read the first 6 or so bob books with very little trouble.  I would like to get some more books for him that he can read or be close to reading on his own.  Anyone have any suggestions? There aren't any book stores close to me that I can go browse. Which stinks but probably saves me a lot of money =)

I would look at online stores to get a feel for what is out there. My younger kids are in love with all the books written by Mo Willems You might look at the link & see if your son might like the books too.

Dr. Seuss has always been a favorite.  Also the Little Bear series by Elsie Minarik and the Frog and Toad series by Arnold Lobel would be good for your sons age.

Thanks for the suggestions! We have a ton of Seuss! I've been looking on amazon and through the scholastic catalogs
