That's it, I give up...

for the week, that is. Between the last minute shopping, wrapping, cleaning, packing, etc before we leave on Saturday, school work has NOT been getting done. No fault of dd11's - we seem to only be home a few hours a day before dinner and that time is consumed with her helping me with the younger boys while I wrap something quickly or clean up or make arrangements for the trip on some level.

So that's my confession for the day - I've decided we're off for the week. Lol.

I am a Home Schooling, Vaccinating, Non spanking, Nightmare Cuddling, Dessert Giving, Bedtime Kissing, Book Reading, Stay at Home Mom. I believe in the benefit of organized after school activities and nosy, involved parents. I believe in spoiling my children. I believe that I have seen the village and I do not want it anywhere near my children. Now for the controversial stuff: we have traditional gender roles, we're Catholic, I'm Libertarian, he's Republican, we're both conservative, and we own guns (now there's no need to ask, lol).             Aimee

Nothing wrong with that! You do what you have to do & don't feel guilty about it later!

Eh. It's been a whole month since I last asked my husband if we could send her back to Catholic school yet (puberty is going to suck the life out of me).

Aww ~ I sooo know that feeling. I am going through that myself. I thought my oldest daughter and I were going to kill each other before she leveled off!  Its still a question some days.  lol

1 mom liked this

I've had to put school on hold while I torture my hands with more crocheting! LOL, I can't even think of holding a pencil right now, so the kids are chilling with the ipad and kindle fire while i try to finish the hats for nephews.

We called it quits last Friday.  We did 2 very important things for school--phonics test (didn't want her to not remember her spelling words in 3 weeks), and her bible verse (again I didn't want her to have to keep practicing it for 3 weeks).  This week we are working on "life skills".  LOL

Cooking, cleaning, laundry, and baking.
