We are going to be doing the K12 program but would also like to do additional activities so he can get ahead. What are some essential materials to start with? I'm a really organized person but I'm at a loss of how to set up our homeschooling area.

What part of Idaho?  We are in Idaho Falls area.  We just moved here a few months ago and would like some homeschool friends.
