My older daughter (15 years old) is not a homeschooled student, but I wanted to share a poem she wrote for her English class. I am really proud of her.

Feet in the Sand

Alone I will walk
on every mourning filled day,
in the beach full of sand
where my bare footprints lay.

Why did they leave me
and will they ever come back?
Can they still see me
or do they just show me their back?

I can’t see them anymore
because their bodies are at lay,
but what if I could see them
every morning or day…

°Alone? You are not                               °God is talking
I wouldn’t leave you that way,
they are still with you
every day, every day.

We follow you here
To the beach and your home,
I will tell you again
You are not alone

°As I turned around                              °Man talking again
To say, he was wrong,
Ten sets of foot prints
Lay along, with mine.

I looked to my left
and saw apparitions
my mom and my dad
2 brothers, 4 sisters.

Then I looked to my right
And saw David and Clyde,
who whispered to me
“We love you, Charlie Ride.”

To my astonishment
I saw him clear as day,
°do not be afraid, because -                            °God is talking
we are with you along the way

Thanks for reading.
