Also, I have an actual homeschool question this time too. :). Are any of your little ones learning typing on the computer? Any program you recommend? My sons 8 and is interested in learning so he "can type fast like mom".
My favorite current show is The Good Wife. I also love Scandel, Revenge, Shark Tank, and 1600 Penn.
Bones, Criminal Minds, Two and a Half Men, Bunheads...
Lol.
We haven't needed a typing program thus far. When we do I'll probably go with what I learned on - Mavis Beacon.
I am a Home Schooling, Vaccinating, Non spanking, Nightmare Cuddling, Dessert Giving, Bedtime Kissing, Book Reading, Stay at Home Mom. I believe in the benefit of organized after school activities and nosy, involved parents. I believe in spoiling my children. I believe that I have seen the village and I do not want it anywhere near my children. Now for the controversial stuff: we have traditional gender roles, we're Catholic, I'm Libertarian, he's Republican, we're both conservative, and we own guns (now there's no need to ask, lol). Aimee
Castle, Burn Notice, Bones, Person of Interest, Elementary, Top Chef, Fringe (sob!), Grimm, Warehouse 13, White Collar, Dr Who, Sherlock, Downton Abbey, Big Bang Theory.
Ok, that looks like a lot. But some of them aren't on right now! We DVR everything so we can fast forward through the ads.
I never had to teach typing, but I looked into Mavis Beacon.
Big Bang
So far, we have only used what is available on abcya.com.
Never thought about a typing class but i will be looking in to it now.
I dont really watch a lot of grown up shows. It tends to stay on channels for the kids. I guess you could say my show is Full House right now. Thats when I finally get to sit down.
But we don't have cable so I rarely actually watch it
Type to learn is a good typing program
