I'm looking for books for my first grader to read. She has a nice supply of books she likes to read on her book shelf but she needs some new material. I like ordering from the library. Can anyone recommend a book series for 1st grade girls?

My oldest has all the frog and toad books. I will have to check out the other books by this author, my youngest has read the frog and toad books and enjoyed them. I'll have to see if the library has any other books.  Thanks!

My girls love the magic tree house. I am introducing them to the American Girl series.  Junie B. Jones is what my kinder is reading and Amelia Bedilia would probably be good also.

Try scholastic.com  They have hundreds of titles, parent resources and you can get leveled books.  They have a customer service line if you have more questions.

I love Ramona!

I agree with all the other suggestions too. :)

There is a fairy series my daughter liked at that age. I forget the title of the series but 'Lucy the Diamond Fairy' is one of them.

My daughter loved the Rainbow Magic Fairy books at the age; there are at least a hundred of them.   They also having shorter chapter books that go along with the Little House on the Prairie series that were quite enjoyable too.  Some other favorites were Magic Tree House and the Baby Sitter's Club Little Sister books.
