concerning a social studies curriculum for my first grader. This past year we winged it, but I think it would help out tremendously (for that one subject in particular) if it was a little more structured.

I thought about Sonlight, but I'm really looking to use secular program for this subject.

What do you use??

Aww, I write my own curricululm, so I wouldn't be of much help  to you directing you to a particular program.  But here is a bump for you.  :)

I write my own, also, but I have to admit that I am enjoying Story of the World. I usually lean towards secular myself but this isn't bad at all.

i secularize Sonlight and then there is Moving Beyond the Page, History Odyssey secularizes Story of the World.  I really like the maps and activities in SOTW. K12 has independent study options. I like their history too but its not reusable withot considerable cost and i have two 8 years apart
