Ds who's 7 was told to write a letter for school today. His response "our ancestors invented phones so we wouldn't have to write letters". It took everything in me not to laugh.
What are somethings your kids have your said that you had to try not to laugh at?

When ever they use the wrong word like one day my DD used the word Circumcision in place of Circumstance, I had to look away so she wouldn't see me struggle with not laughing before I helped her with the right word.

Roflmaoomg that's ingenious!

I guess I can see his logic in some ways, for kids now days asking them to write a letter is like us being asked to telegraph somebody.  I'm sure with so many other forms of communication out there they see phones, e-mail and texting to be more logical forms of communication than snail mail.
