Here in louisiana we were allowed to turn our receipts for homeschool stuff in for income tax. We are able to get half back up to a certain amount. (No strings attached!) Our returns came in this morning so dh gave me that amount to put back towards school. I am going get some nice bookshelves for our books and anything left goes for books. So excited!!!!

I ask because if it is federal then everyone should be able to do it because the rules for it should be the same in every state but state income tax is different in every state, some states like Texas don't even have a state income tax.
