I made a decision to use lesson pathways and the head of the class to plan the order of the kids lessons so I do not feel as burdened.
As soon as I made that decision I turned around to 2 sick kids. We were in the er last night and there is nothing they can do because my 7 and 2 year olds just have a virus. But I can not get my 7 year olds fever to stay down. But I am continuing with cold drinks, lots of fluids and keeping them away from my other 2 kids.
My 7 year old and my 2 year old are bothe now feeling a lot better. I am hopeful we will be going to thier child Dedication on Sunday.
Thanks. My 2 year old is doing better. She is active and wants to play just waiting 24 hours before she gets back in with the healthy kids. My 7 year old is still running a 103 degree fever, though we are able to bring it down with meds but it goes straight back up.
I am going to use those two programs to get a good bases for being able to plan and make sure I do not forget something that we need to learn.

Awww, I dislike when kids get sick. I wish them a speedy recovery and ease for you and them. BTW, what is pathways and head of class?
Thanks. They are online free curriculum prek to 5th. I am just going to use it as a guide, but it can be made for a full curriculum.

I don't think cold drinks for a fever are a good remedy. I would stick to warm drinks/food to warm the tummy. Abdomen should always be warm and head cool in a healthy person. Also a warm hearing pad on their abdomen with cool pack on their head is good. I'm very holistic with my kids but I don't mess with a fever. It is the only time I will give them Tylenol or ibuprofen to bring down a fever if it rises above 102. I also give my kids vitamin d supplements, up to 5000 iu's for my 1 1/2 year old when he has any symptoms with his meal daily, and my older son (12 years old) takes it daily no matter what, especially in the winter, as well as vitamin c. My little one gets all his vitamins from food so I only supplement once in a while and profusely when he sick. There is also an over the counter that I do like from NatraBio called children's cold and flu natural homeopathic medicine. I like it and my little son does better on it. Hope this helps if you try it and I hope they get better.

Wow! I did not know there was material like this online! It looks way less complicated than the patch work curriculum I'm using (a couple of Learning Zone workbooks, Worldy Wise, Spectrum). This is more organized! Thanks for the info!
I have a curriculum I pieced together but I do not want to miss something and it helps me to know what to do and gives me another resource.
