I loved studying about the Crusades and medieval history so I knew this one!
1229Frederick II, Holy Roman Emperor declares himself King of Jerusalem during the Sixth Crusade.

Another medieval history one that I knew.
1314Jacques de Molay, the 23rd and the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar, is burned at the stake.

I find it funny that Wells and Fargo founded American Express.
1850American Express is founded by Henry Wells and William Fargo.

I remember every one of these. I think it is pretty amazing to live through and remember things that happened in your lifetime that are considered history.

I knew about these ones.  And am familiar with a few more.   This is what I get for listening to my elders when I was young and they would be having these long discussions about world politics and local politics, :)
