Homeschooling Moms Homeschooling Moms

Odd question not about homeschooling but about the kids...

I don't need anyone to go into any details lol...just putting that out there.

But at what age did your child or do you think your child will be able to wash themselves...take a shower on their own and do a good job of cleaning themselves.

As stated...don't need any details ...just age and if it's boy or girl.

Thanks!

Like 7 or 8 for my son. I still stalk and ask questions. Did you wash your hair, under your arms, your ears, etc.

Completely on their own? 10 ish.

On their own but I ask (or remind) them to do certain things? We're there now with the younger two - 5 to 7 years. Depends on the child. My five year old girl is really obsessive about cleanliness and does it all by herself. The boy, a year older, has to reminded about basic things like his face!

yeah cuz I'm wondering when I should stop helping LOL...but wanted to at least get an idea of what some other kids were like and so this helps...

mine is 6 right now and I think still needs mom to intervene and ask things or remind him...looks like I'm gonna  have to keep reminding for another year or two lol.

Ds started at 5 with a few reminders. Now he's 7 and does it all on his own.

About age 6 or so, but I still have to "remind" my dd to wash well in certain places. I still wash her hair to make sure the shampoo gets rinsed out.
