My kids learn from it but I feel like they need more stuctured fun learning off the computer.  I let them do that if they do great with other things we do that day.  I use abcmouse as a reward.

I like it. My girls both a e their own pages under my account, and I can minister the activities they complete. They really enjoy it! Technology is a big thing in my house, and the girls like to feel like they have their own thing to do on the internet. They also have their own vtech tablets with games to help expand their learning.

Quoting ilana_ny:

How do you like it? Do you feel that you kids, actually, learning by playing at ABCmouse.com? I got mixed reviews about the website.

Quoting myownparadise:

I pay for abcmouse.com.

I don't just let them only learn from that site. I teach them what I think they need to know, but if they are good, they are allowed on there. I guess I also use it as a reward. I was just explaining that I do like it. Technology is just important in my house. I want my girls to feel included.

I was just saying I didnt feel it was a complete enough curriculum.  I love it though.  It is lots of fun for the kids.  And it is educational.  I was not saying you were doing it wrong.  It is basically my 2 almost 3 year olds main curriculum because she will sit still for that and nothing else. Though she has to be good to get to play and only does one lesson a day.

Its OK! I don't realize I sounded defensive until a minute ago, and I apologize for coming off that way. I use pencil and paper to teach my girls to write numbers and letters, and use books to read stories. I just enjoy watching them use the computer.

Not a problem.  I know the kids need to know how to use the computer. They have to have those skills when they get jobs and for school.  I think it is pretty cool to see my 2 year old use my laptop.
