My son will be 4 in July, and I'm looking to homeschool. Where can I start? I look online and there are so many different sites and I'm not sure which ones are legit. Could anyone give me some websites?

also, what age did you start? I was thinking of starting this fall, he would be just over 4 years old, is that to early?

We use a few sights and play at that age.  It is mostly child led and when they want to do it at that age.  If you are forceful then it will not go over well.  I am planning on doing school atleast 3 times a week next year.  Here are our websites.

Now my 4 year old will not be on the computer all day.  I use them to figure out what to teach and then he gets 15 min.s on the computer a day.  I teach and play games with him that help him learn in a fun imaginitive way.

I highly recommend www.letteroftheweek.com for one that age. I started informally schooling my kids when they were around 2.5 y/o. But we kept things fun and light. I liked letter of the week because it gave me an outline and ideas. We didn't school everyday, nor for very long, but it gave them a very good base.

Good luck! You can start a little bit more *directed play* but I think four is a little young to actually school. I would do a letter of the week type thing. I was planning on doing that with my 3yo. He will be four in July.

A lot of people have mentioned letter of the week...

i was a preschool teacher for 7 years before I had my son so we have done so much letter activities! He can recognize, write and sound all the letters, we have made letter books, and done so much with them already...I feel like he would best bored with that...
