I will begin homeschooling DD this fall.  She will be in kindergarten. Our state requires portfolio reviews twice a year with the county.  I was curious if other moms also maintain portfolios and if you had any tips/suggestions.  Thanks!

I keep the best work of each section of each subject, usually a worksheet page each. I would keep a list of documentaries she watched, a list of books you and her read, and any field trips you do. You can always call and ask what they expect to see since every assessor is a bit different. I'm in Ohio and a portfolio is one of our options. We only have to do it once a year.

I would get a simple file folder to hold the papers in. One section per subject.
