I am looking for a first grade music curriculum. What do you use?

 for first grade, we learned chords on guitar and piano, how to read music, didnt use any books or such, i made up stuff

Im not musically inclined. Music to me is like learning a foreign language. In fact learning might actually be easier for me.

 You could just do an introduction to instruments & all the different kinds of music styles & types.

 hi kat, hey im not musically inclined either!! but i did manage to teach myself the guitar, but i have no rhythm and cant keep a tune and i could go on!hahahaha when i was in school i took music required and thats how ilearned to read music, but its all over the internet so you could kinda teach it to your self and then the kids and learn with them,

My kids love music and I actually found out if I put something to music they are more likely to remember it. Thanks for all these sites. I will check them out. I might even try to find a music store and see what they might suggest.
