I live in P.R. They are making it very difficult to even get information about homeschooling. They say every child belongs in school. My daughter has a condition. She doesn't speak spanish. The way she is passing is because I attend class with her. That was their solution to this situation. I translate all the work for her. But I feel I could be helping her more at home. She functions better in small settings. But does better on one on one. Please HELP.

I am assuming that P.R. is Puerto Rico, I found this information about homeschooling laws in P.R. for you

http://www.homeschoolfacts.com/states/sub_sections.php/State_Laws/puerto-rico

I hope this helps you. Also joining the HSLDA will give you legal support if you try to homeschool & anyone challenges you!

Are you able to relocate, because it may be more beneficial for her if you could relocate to the states.  Here are facts from the HSLDA about Puerto Rico Homeschooling. http://www.hslda.org/hs/state/pr/FAQeng.asp

It appears you can homeschool there if that is what you're wanting.  I don't know the condition your daughter has, or the programs that may be set up to help her given I've never been there, but there may be a lot more options.  Good luck!

sorry, some one already gave that to you.   I think you shouldn't have too big of a problem.  Of course the school won't help you leave public school.  They probably feel very strongly about public schooling.
