Liquid: ALL. I've never tried any other brand of detergent or style.

I make my own.  It's a lotion-like texture, very concentrated.

Do you care to share the recipe? I make the liquid but I'm thinking of switching to powder. I've used essential oils too but it never seems to scent my clothes :-/

Quoting tuffymama:

Make my own powder and use essential oils with vinegar in the rinse. The last couple of weeks, it's been peppermint, and my laundry smells AMAZING.

Quoting Britty1987:

I use the same recipe that's floated around the blogosphere for a few years. Try the HowDoesShe recipe: http://www.howdoesshe.com/cheaper-and-better-diy-laundry-detergent/ . I just leave out the Purex, and I ALWAYS use Fels Naptha instead of Zote. Zote can leave a nasty film in the washer. Fels Naptha also seems to clean laundry a bit better, to me.
