I chose our second option and we are not required to turn anything in.

I'm not sure I'm still learning homeschooling. All I do know is that the only thing required is 180 days of class. I'm not sure if I need to turn it in to someone or not yet.

Warning: This iPad enjoys auto correcting into jibberish. I have three kids 17, 10.5 and 9 yrs old. This mama works, homeschools, and explores life + varied interests.

We started with an umbrella school and switched to charter which requires portfolios and some testing. We did simply to help pay for school funds and certain classes that my kids wanted to take, and dh wanted them to have as well.

Other. We have to register one time with the state as a private, non accredited school. That's it.

I responded nothing, however we are supposed to take attendance and do 180 days. But to my knowledge no one ever checks the attendance sheet

We are required to report intent at beginning of year. Attendance at end of the year. Testing every three years.

Not required, but I keep a portfolio for them. It's just a 3 ring binder and I save some of their work, certificates, pictures of them on field trips etc - put into page protectors in the binder (one for each child).

I live in NY.  My reporting is a letter of intent every year, a detailed instruction plan, 4 brief quarterly reports, and a brief annual narrative listing a few highlights of the year.  Testing is only done in 5th, 7th, and 9th to 12th grades.  We report only the composite score.

We don't do portfolios.
