because I don't get any of the surprise gifts made in school!

Do you miss the little things?

1 mom liked this

Sometimes, but then my daughters went and picked me a bouquet of lilacs from our tree and made me homemade cards.  My son went to great lengths to wake me up in the morning with his cellphone alarm just so I would see the card he made for me and snuck into my room. My oldest daughter wrote me a story - which I have been trying to get her to do for so long, she has such a rich imagination! :)  They were precious.  And honestly its' part of why I homeschool - I get to be around such amazing loving creatures every day

I was just talking to my husband about this over the weekend. All of my friends were posting pictures of the things their kids had made for them on Facebook. It made me a little sad but DH and DD still made me feel special on Mother's Day.
