I haven't kept my resume up to date.  I have 3 boys ages 4, 6, and 8, so I believe I have a long haul here before I look for employment outside the home.  I would not put my home-educating experience on my resume.  I would most likely be looking for a position as a teacher in a school district and so many in the PSS dislike (or down-right hate) the homeschooling movement that it would more than likely hurt my chances; isn't that ironic!!

However, I plan to go back to school myself when my youngest is in the high school grades.  I want to become a dietician (because unless my family is literally starving to death no one could pay me enough to go back to teaching in a public high school!!)  In that case I would put it on my resume.

Yes, I do. But I teach. If I were looking for a business position I don't know if I would. But maybe...especially if I had been out of the work force for while, I would want prospective employers to see that I've been busy.

Definitely to show I'd been busy. Same guidelines as all the volunteering I've done the past few years - show what could possibly interest the employer. It's not just teaching, it's organizing, managing, budgeting, organizing events (if applicable), etc.

I never thought of it, but someday when I rejoin the workforce I will.
