I have several. My kids remind me everyday while I started homeschooling. Seeing them curious and excited helps me to remember what is important. My karate instructor motivates me to stretch and push myself. I have a lot of local friends that homeschool and when I am able to see them and talk. Talking with other homeschooling moms always makes me feel refreshed. The joy of teaching keeps me going. I love seeing that look of wonder on a child's face.

My hubby pushes me to limits that I only dreamed of when I was a kid. Now, I know that I am capable of doing just about anything that I put my mind to. :)

Finding good things in every day.

Not worrying about the things I can't change.

Relaxing.

Reading

Petting my cat. LOL

Reading is one of my vices. It helps me to just find a place where I can relax my mind and gain a better perspective on things.
I love cats! :)

Wait. How is reading a vice? It's a virtue IMO.

Just remembering what she went through in public school on the days where I want to put them all on a bus. Lol

I am so glad that my kids didn't have to go through the hell of public school like I did. Sometimes though, I think that families like yours who have had that prior experience to homeschooling have a deeper rooted understanding of how important homeschooling really is. Just because of that experience .

If you could see my bookstore bill, you would understand the vice!  ;o)

Ah! I see now.

I get most of my books from the library now. I could never afford what I read. I do get book store gift certificates sometimes.

That's why I love my library. We're there nearly every week. I picked up 5 things I had on hold yesterday and my current request list is up to 5 titles.

Our local library would cost me more than my bookstore visits, so I just don't go there anymore.  I live outside their area, so it costs $70 per card per year and we would need 5 cards.  YIKES!
