OT: What is your guilty pleasure?

Posted by   + Show Post

I admit, I watch General Hospital and have been known to read a romance novel or two. I also watch Jerseylicious...lol

These are my guilty pleasures. What are yours?

Oh yum. I like malted milk balls too.

A stash of malted milk balls in the topmost cabinet of the kitchen. :)

Margaritas..but rarely guilty over it!

Reading...when I buy a book and I still have a pile to be read! Lol Then I think," DH buys a pack of cigarettes a day" and the guilt over a book goes away!

You should never feel guilty for getting yourself a pedicure!! Well, unless you did it every week : )

Now I am looking at my feet thinking I NEED a pedicure too! lol

I am totally horrible about spending money, as in the thought of even spending a dollar on me my favorite tea as a drink will nearly give me an anxiety attack. I can buy anything in the world for DH or kids and feel that the purchase is totally justified but I can't bring myself to buy anything that would be only for me.

Its pretty sad really but I grew up where money was a constant issue and its ingrained in me to always consider what more useful stuff could have been bought instead of the 20 bucks i spent on a pedicure or shirt. My brain automatically starts totaling it up and i end up hating my self later.

DH hides reciepts when he buys me a gift cause he knows i will jsut freak myself out worrying. and I honestly have no idea how to break the habit.

My guilty pleasures are my books and my yarn. The yarn is also my profession but I freaking love it so yeah it is a guilty one.

Are you a knitter?  Or what do you do with all that yarn?

I am a knitter but I am also a handspinner. I make yarn on a spinning wheel.
