Teaching preschool co-op class, Help!

I am going to be teaching a preschool class of 4 year olds at co-op starting in August.   This is our first time to attend co-op and teaching there.  I am considering a class on animals and doing a different animal each week.  I have to decide and plan pretty quickly as registration is next week.  I have to get my supply list ready.

Do you have any class ideas or suggestions for animal activities?

make large animals out of cardboard,

having a large map on the wall and placing the animals where they come from

learning the tracks the animals make- make a game out of it

learning the animal sounds, another game

lots of hands on stuff

field trip to see some of the animals, zoo, barn, someones home etc

have a pet in the class room

There are a lot of animal themed print outs that you can get to go along like cut & past stuff or work sheets.

I love love the animal theme! Go with it. You can teach them how the animals sleep.

I have decided to do animals A to Z to correspond with the letter of the week from the first hour preschool class.  I found  lots of crafts and activities for animals online.

These are all great ideas! Thanks so much for sharing. I'm going to use some of these for my child. :)
