Week 2 of our apple themed unit. This week we are reading The Apple Pie Tree, Ten Red Apples, Apples and Pumpkins and re-reading Apples are For Everyone and Apples A to Z(probably daily since these are the current favorites) and learning the sight word see.Math games for this week are: matching the number of apples to the number magnet, using a die to "pick" apples off the apple tree, apple roll and graph game. We will also do 1 patterning worksheet, one ten frames apple q-tip painting worksheet, and coloring apples to match the color and number. We will be making yarn apples, sun catcher tissue paper apples, and marble painting apples in art. Playing our matching upper to lowercase alphabet game and reading and illustrating our apple themed poem of the week. We'll also be making applesauce bread on Friday.

Yeah we did & then we started to experiment on what natural pesticides work best to kill them!

Quoting bluerooffarm:

Oh no!  I hope you got a lot out of your garden before they attacked.

Quoting usmom3:

We are learning all things China.

Over the weekend we learned about how bugs can decimate a garden in short order. We also learned about replacing ceiling fans & balancing them. Oh & we learned what all the parts are in mattresses as we disassembled some because there is no place to take them to recycle them here.

But, this week we're doing letter sounds a-d. We are working on writing her name, and doing the first book of "Before 5 in a row". we also started basic addition.
