There are so many more banned or challenged books. Of the list I posted, I have read 23 of them.

I have only read 4 of them but I have wanted to read many of them. I think I know what books to think about getting when I am done with my audio book I am listening to while working out!

Why would the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn be banned?

I've read 15 of these.  I'd like to read most of the others.

 You know....*whispers* that word.  LOL

It was first banned because it contained the n word.  But a new edition came out that replaced that word with the word "slave" and that copy has been banned because it is not true to period.  Ya can't win no matter what you do.

I've only read huckleberry Finn and The Call of the Wild. And those weren'teven required reading in school . I did those with my own kids as an adult. The only required reading I recall was O Pioneers and Beowulf. I guess my school sucked.
