About.com has released a series of videos on homeschooling issues that are relevant today.  These videos add credibility to the Homeschool World, and also offer great tips, tools, and ideas for activities/techniques to use in your own classroom.

Check them out and let me know what you think.

Kimberly Kulp, who is AMAZING, did the videos.  She is our Director of Products and curriculum - she traveled to New York to do the filming.  Fun and exciting stuff!  Thank you for the interest. :)

I really liked the videos.  They are very well done.

I do have one criticism though.  The letter grade vs. Percentage grade video is using an outdated grading scale.  Almost all schools have adopted the more rigorous grading system of

93-100=A
87-92=B
80-86=C
72-79=D
70-72=D-
69 and below is failing.

That is the grading scale that most colleges are looking for, so parents should be aware of that to give them the correct tools in deciding whether or not to use letter grades.

I believe only the first 6 or 7 videos were made by our Academy.  Do you know the link to the video where the grading scale was mentioned?  There are a few homeschool videos on About.com that were not produced by Bridgeway. I'm thinking maybe we didn't do the one you are referring to, because you are right about the grade scale - that's been in effect for as long as I can remember too! :)
