Should I or shouldn't I

Dh and ds are off on a hunting trip today and tomorrow. Obviously, ds won't be doing any tradional schoolwork. (We are relaxed hs'ers, so not a big deal to me.). But dd is home with me. On one hand, I feel as if I should let her off to "unschool" these two days also, but on the other, we could use the quiet time to get a lot of her curriculum done. Wwyd?

What does she want to do?  If she wants to work on curriculum and be done early or have days off later then do that.  If she would rather just do not much then do that.

I would ask her what she wanted to do & if it was possible do that!

I would take the day off.  I really bend over backwards to keep things fair, so I would only do school work with her if she were going to get a different day off later in the year that ds doesn't get off.

Depends on what she wants to do.  If she wants to do school stuff let her and let her have a couple days off later in the year to do something fun that DS doesn't get.

I agree with the other ladies. Is there anything special she might like to do with you? It's a chance to go to an art museum, check out a pumpkin patch, maybe go on a hayride, etc.

Maybe you can ask her what she would like to do.

I would consider my kids opinions if they were up to date on stuff, but if they were normally a procrastinator and we had to get caught up, then... no... they would have to be willing to work some.   I'd do what I could to make the work a lot of 1-1 stuff and working together, and I'd bake brownies or cookies or something ... we'd curl up on the big comfy sectional we have and dig into some of our stuff while enjoying the cookies.

Then we'd play some games and watch movies or go roller skating or something.
