Seaman is a picture book so that is for all ages. Caption's dog is for older but depends on how sensitive the kids are. It has a ton of history. It even tells about when some men were flogged for stealing alcohol. My boys are 9 and 11. I would pre read it for younger kids. The picture book is awesome for all ages. Caption's dog has short enteries like a diary so it makes a perfect read aloud book.

Quoting paganbaby:

Omg I so want to get that book! What age range would you say it is?

Quoting jen2150:

It is. We are reading the Caption's Dog which is the story of Lewis and clark through the eyes of his dog. They also have a picture book version called Seaman. Last year I taught a class called geography through art and one of the countries we did was Greece. So much incredible history. It is just filled with a ton of math and science history.

Quoting paganbaby:

Greek Myths and Seals. Ooh Lewis and Clark sounds interesting!

Quoting jen2150:

Awesome what are you reading? We are doing lewis and clark for history and physics for science this year.
