My 5th grader and I are working on ratios and converting pints to gallons along with other values. I just found this site and it looks easy to remember: http://fivejs.com/how-many-pints-in-a-gallon-free-graphic/

Now clickable!.

We're going to be doing a whole bunch of cooking and learning measurements and fractions.  Very timely--thank you!

You'd be surprised at how many people do not know this answer.

In DDs co-op class they made a man. His body was a gallon Arms and legs were quarts, then they split off into pints then each hand and foot had like 4 fingers and toes which was cups. It was really cool

That does sound cool.  I'll bet he's one pretty hip looking gallon man.  :)

My SIL!  She didn't know how many ounces were in a gallon, half gallon, or quart.  When we told her how many were in a quart, she still couldn't figure out how many in a gallon!  sMH.
