Teaching your child to read - Lots of Resources!

Wanted to share this.  This is a list of all the ways we've taught our daughter to read, from games to books to the videos we used.  Most of these are free!  It took me so long to find all of these things when we were teaching her, but I like to have everything in one place, so here it is:

Thank you for sharing, it is so wonderful when other Moms share the things that work for them!

Anyone else have good resources to add to this list?

Ha, I came here to give a warning that Funnix is giving their program away until the 20th and I found two reading posts to share it on.

We use Dianne Crafts phonics cards, her way really seems to stick better. You can easily make your own. Just put the sound superimposed on the picture instead of next to/under/etc.

I'll put the funnix link in the pic below so people can grab it if they want. I missed it last time and have been waiting for this years.

For the first time...I am not looking forward to Christmas...
