I've ordered some of next year's curriculum because it was on sale, and I can get a head start on having the supplies together for our science labs.  The girls know that I also ordered a few things for their Christmas online.

When my 3rd grader saw two boxes arrive yesterday she got SUPER excited and danced around asking if that was her new science curriculum and could she open it.  She didn't ask once about any of the toys she's been hoping for, but each day I get questioned about that science, lol!

Her enthusiasm is easily the best Christmas present I've ever received. :)

That is awesome!!!

So, what did you order for science???

I ended up smooshing stuff together this year because the public school didnt start science till 6th grade. So I felt some basics were in order before starting a grade level science curriculum. I have no idea what I will use next year for science. It would have to be secular though.

Pearson Homeschool - http://www.pearsonhomeschool.com/  The code is 25PHS for 25% off through Sunday on anything, I think.  I went with Scott Foresman Science because she wants a regular book to look at instead of the computer lessons we've done this year with Science Fusion.  I'm sticking with SF for Haley because she really enjoys it, and they have a nice set for the 6-8 grade level.  That's 20% & free shipping off this site:  http://www.mysaxonhomeschool.com/

Almost all of our language arts this year has been from Pearson.  Their Reading Street is terrific, with loads of different types of stories and mini-lessons in between with information about homographs, idioms, etc.  The Comprehension Plus has been fantastic too, and boosted Elyssa's skills tremendously.

I noticed that it says homeschool so I have to ask... is it secular?

I am not seeing a lot of information (for the Pearson one). Have you tried the Pearson before  - did you like it?

Yep, of course.  Only our Latin isn't.  :)

We haven't used their science before, but after using all the language arts I'm comfortable with it.  They have good stuff.  They usually have another 25% off at the start of July, so I can look through it and let you know what we think.
