Favorite pre-planned, all-in-one curriculum?

For next year I am thinking I want to go with pre-planned our curriculum for all three of my kids (who will be in 2nd, 3rd, and 6th grades). We've been doing Sonlight for the last several years. Some years I buy it all and some years I do a hodgepodge of buying some, getting some at the library, and skipping some altogether.

This is a hodgepodge year and I worry we're missing too much. There are things I really like about Sonlight (having every day planned out, less reading for me when the questions are already there, really great books, etc), however there are also things I do not like (mainly the Evangelical/missionary focus - we are Christian, but I don't want my children spending weeks and weeks studying the lives of Evangelical missionaries or praying for poor, unchurched peoples of far-off countries).

So - anyone have a favorite curriculum that is pretty comprehensive, and all planned out for you, that you really love? I'm not opposed to Christian or secular, in general, just want it to teach morality without an emphasis on Christian superiority.

Yeah that's a tall order. :)

I generally don't think any curriculum that is supposed to be a full one is a good buy.

I highly recommend POC4U which can be used with all students and ages to find the right curriculum pieces for them based on thier levels and best learning styles. Some pieces recommend actually hit all the learning styles and some even can be used with multible grades. This was the best thing I ever bought while homeschooling and it was under $20.

So I would use curriculum pieces, real life, the library and online resources instead of a full curriculum pre packaged for you. If, however, you really want a full one, I've heard good things about Calvert. It's been used by people in show business for a long time. That's about all I know about it.

This is what I was thinking, too.

Oh yikes! Just checked into Calvert's pricing. Even at its cheapest option, for my three kids we would be looking at over $5,000 a year. I don't think that's an option for us (or very many people). Sonlight can be pricey, but even at its most expensive option for my oldest would be under $1,000 for the whole year (and less for the younger two).
